FAQ

Questions, answered.

What Unwind does with your tokens, what it costs, who holds what, and how a sale plays out.

What do I get through Conviction?

Selling through conviction.unwind.cash gives you 10% off Unwind's fee: 0.45% instead of 0.5%, still only on what sells. The discount is applied automatically when you sign in here and stays on every sale from that account, unless your account already uses another referral code.

Everything else is the same Unwind: the same wallet, the same protections and the same support. Conviction is Unwind's partner; Unwind runs the sales.

What does Unwind do?

Unwind sells your tokens into demand instead of market-selling them. It places them as one-sided liquidity in the token's Uniswap pool, in a narrow range just above the current price. Opening that position swaps nothing.

When buyers push the price up through your range, they take your tokens and leave proceeds behind. Filled positions are closed and collected, and the sale keeps going until everything sells, you stop it, or it ends.

How much does it cost?

0.5% of the proceeds, charged only on what sells. Tokens that come back unsold pay no fee. Unwind pays the gas for placing, moving and closing your positions.

Sending your deposit from your own wallet can cost network gas. A payout in ETH is swapped from the network's stablecoin on the same network, so the pool fee and the price impact of that swap come out of the payout.

Who holds my tokens during a sale?

You do. Your tokens sit in your Unwind wallet, and that wallet is yours: a Privy wallet that lives on a secure server instead of in your browser, with the same address on every supported network.

It only moves to run the sales you start and to pay your receiving address — a 2-of-3 key quorum and a restricted signer keep it to exactly that. When a sale ends, everything goes to your receiving address, and you can stop a sale anytime.

What is a receiving address?

Where a sale's proceeds and unsold tokens go when it ends. You pick it on the sale ticket: your connected wallet (you sign a free message once to prove it is yours), an EVM address you paste while signed in, or, if you signed in with email, the wallet you send from.

Use a wallet you control, not an exchange. If deposits arrive from more than one wallet, or from a contract such as an exchange, nothing is paid out until you choose the receiving address.

What if I send less or more than the sale amount?

The sale starts with what arrived. Send less and it sells what you sent; send more and it sells all of it. It starts once the deposit covers the amount you set, or a minute after your first transfer, as long as it is worth at least the network's minimum ($25 on Base, $50 on Robinhood).

Before your deposit arrives you can cancel the sale; after it, you can stop it anytime, and whatever has not sold goes to your receiving address.

How long does a sale take?

It sells as buyers come in. Your tokens sit in a narrow range just above the price and sell as buying lifts the price through it, so the time follows the pool's buying, not a clock. Most small sales finish within a few hours, and on active pools about half finish within the first hour. Larger sales take longer, often many hours, because more buying has to come through. A rising market fills faster; a flat or falling one is slower, and when sellers push the price back down, part of what filled can un-fill.

The ticket shows an estimate from the pool's recent net buying (buys minus sells) and how much of it your sale needs; it is an estimate, not a promise. When buying is slow, the ticket says so before you start. An ASAP sale ends after three days, a Target or Range sale after a week, and whatever did not sell goes to your receiving address.

Can I stop a sale?

Yes, anytime. Once your deposit has arrived, stopping the sale makes Unwind close your open positions and send your unsold tokens and proceeds to your receiving address. Anything already sold stays sold, and there is no fee on unsold tokens.

Before any deposit arrives there is nothing to stop: you simply cancel the sale.

Which networks and tokens are supported?

Base and Robinhood Chain. A token can be sold when it has a supported Uniswap pool with enough recent trading; the ticket tells you if a token is not eligible.

What do I receive?

On Base, USDC or ETH on Base. On Robinhood Chain, USDG or ETH on Robinhood. The default is the network's stablecoin. Payouts stay on the network the sale ran on.

An ETH payout is swapped from that network's stablecoin, so the pool fee and price impact of the swap come out of it. Unsold tokens come back as the same token.

Is there a minimum sale?

Yes: $25 on Base and $50 on Robinhood Chain.

What if the price drops?

Nothing sells below the market: your tokens only sell when buyers push the price up into your range. An ASAP sale follows the market so it stays first in line for the next buyers; set a minimum market cap and it waits there instead of following the price lower.

Target and Range sales keep your price and simply wait for the market to come back to it. Whatever has not sold comes back to your receiving address, with no fee on it.

Is there a referral program?

Yes. Open Invite & earn to get your link. Sellers who join through it get 10% off Unwind's fee on every sale, and you earn 20% of what they pay, for life. Earnings are paid every Monday in USDC to your Unwind wallet once they reach $10.

Got a referral code yourself? Add it in the account menu: your new sales get the discount. Running a community, a token or a trading tool? Partners earn half the fee: apply from Invite & earn.
